Hike Route: Three Sisters → Giant Stairway → Dardanelles Pass → Leura Cascades

Getting There

Driving: ~90 min from Sydney CBD via M4 Motorway → Great Western Highway → Echo Point
Public Transport: Take the Blue Mountains Line Train from Central Station to Katoomba (~2 hrs). From Katoomba, take Bus 686 to Echo Point.

Itinerary & Highlights

7:00 AM – Depart Sydney. Grab a takeaway coffee and hit the road early to avoid crowds.
9:00 AM – Arrive at Echo Point Lookout. Take in panoramic views of the Three Sisters & Jamison Valley.
9:30 AM – Start the Hike. Descend Giant Stairway (998 steep steps!)
Follow the Dardanelles Pass through lush rainforest.
Stop at Leura Cascades for a break.
12:30 PM – Lunch Break at Leura Cascades. Bring a picnic or grab food at a café in Leura Village.
1:30 PM – Explore Leura Village. Stroll through boutique shops & local bakeries.
3:30 PM – Head Back to Sydney. Drive back or catch the 4:24 PM train from Katoomba Station.
