Getting There
Driving: Park at Golden Stairs Car Park near Narrow Neck Plateau.
Public Transport: Train to Katoomba, then a taxi or bus to the trailhead.
Itinerary & Highlights
Day 1
- 7:00 AM β Start at Golden Stairs (steep descent).
- 9:30 AM β Break at Ruined Castle (incredible rock formations).
- 12:00 PM β Reach Mount Solitary Summit, set up camp.
- 6:00 PM β Sunset views over Jamison Valley.
Day 2
- 6:00 AM β Sunrise at the summit (worth waking up early!).
- 8:00 AM β Pack up and hike back.
- 3:00 PM β Arrive back in Katoomba.
